Directions
Fried Carrots with Mustard Seed
A popular homemade Malaysian dish. Quick and healthy.

- 4 large carrots
- 2 teaspoon of mustard seeds
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 small red onions
- Coriander leaves
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons of canola oil
- 3 tablespoons of water
- Finely-slice the carrots
- Chop the garlic
- Finely-slice the small onions
- Roughly chop the coriander leaves
Place cooking oil in pan and add the onions and toss till slightly browning then add the garlic and mustard seeds.
Allow to cook for 4 minutes.
Add the carrots and toss it all together.
Add the water and cover for 10 minutes. Add salt to taste.
Once carrots are tender switch off the stove. Serve with white rice and coriander leaves.
