Q: When do we want to use this recipe?
A: After a long day at work, sometimes you want something quick, hardy and healthy too.

Preparatory lead time & marination

In this case, my personal favorite recipe is mashed potatoes and grilled lamb. I always make sure the night before I take the time to cut lamb chops into pieces and place them in a zip-lock bag. Store and marinate in fridge until the next day.

Ingredients list:

  •  3 pieces of lamb chops
  •  2 tbsp of honey
  •  2 tbsp of red chili paste
  •  3 tbsp of soy sauce
  •  ¼ cup of sweet chili sauce
  •  ¼ cup of black thick soy sauce
  •  ¼ tsp of salt
  • Next day, recall that we had talked about marination and storing lamb in fridge the night before.
When I get home from work I take the lamb out and give it a mix again and then place it on the grill. (see video below for grilling instructions) I like mine cooked medium rare. You may like yours well done. If you do like yours well done, grill it till its cooked well inside. Some of you may even want to use a thermometer to check the core temp of the meat.

Potatoes ingredients and procedures:

  •  4 medium size potatoes
  •  3 tbsp of butter
  •  3 tbsp of whole cream milk
  •  Salt to taste

Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces, then boil in water till soft.

Once the potatoes are tender, drain the water and place the potatoes into a bowl.

Mash the potatoes very well, then add the butter and mix till it feels smooth and silky.

Next, add the milk and give it all a good stir and blend again.

Add salt according to your taste buds.
