We usually make this for festivals . My child loves this . I try to make this once a month.

 

 

2 cups of white rice

100 grams of Palm sugar 

3 tablespoons of brown sugar

1/2 cup of raisins

1/2 cup cashew nuts chopped 

1 cup milk ( whole cream ) 

2 cups of water 

Pinch of salt

 

Place the two cups of rice and 2 cups of water and boil on medium heat till the rice is cooked . Then add the cashews, raisins , Palm sugar sliced finely , the brown sugar and salt and finally the milk and stir it and cook on low heat . 

Keep stirring it till you feel the texture thicken . Once it’s thickened it’s done . Take it out and place on a plate and flatten it into 1-1/2 inches thick cake . Let it cool for 10 minutes. 

 

Then slice it into cubes . 

Ready to eat . 

 

This is great with a cup of tea or coffee or dessert .  

You can keep it in the fridge for maximum 2 days only.

 

I usually add it as a treat to the lunch box .
